Michigan's Department of Human Services (formerly the Family Independent Agency).
The Office of Training and Staff Development train new, experienced and supervisory staff in the areas of Children and Adult Services (Child Protective, Juvenile Justice, Adoption and Foster Care) as well as State, Federal and local Financial and Medical Assistance Programs (TANF, Food Assistance, Medical Assistance, Energy, Child Day Care) and related computer applications. In addition, this office trains all new Foster Care worker for the state's private partners.
Michigan is a state administered system.
